In 1989 the Minnesota Department of Health produced a famous ad campaign with their advertising agency Martin/Williams, the film being directed by Rick Dublin (both from Minneapolis). Here are two of the 12 animals smoking. This campaign was recycled in France in 1994 by the National Committee for Tobacco Control.
The campaign was aired in several other states in the US as well as foreign countries. It is detailed in an article by Kathleen Harty published in the December 1993 issue of Tobacco Control.

Well, that's a unique anti-smoking ad. You'll have this thought that it would kill the animals, and what more if we were the ones doing it? I wonder how will people react to it when they see this printed on a large banner? Printing some posters in placing it on bus stops would be a good idea, too.
