MADRONE LANE: PIAZZA OR STREET?

Local property owner Linda Brandt wishes the community to weigh in on the Madrona Lane Piazza - should it be a public gathering place or open for cars and parking? Copied from today's email from Debbie Lester. Thank you Debbie. I prefer the piazza but i agree that during the winter, cold, rainy, months it would be much less used, if at all, as a meeting place. Did you know this was a private road? I had no clue.

please, please keep this Lane closed during the times people will be out and about drinking, eating, chatting. What you've done there is fantastic. Surely there are early and late times the trucks can deliver, and surely all of the stores that benefit from the tables and chairs and lovely umbrellas(Blackbird Bakery and Mora's to name 2) should be more than willing to help maintain this wonderful space. Downtown Winslow sorely needs this (and more) such inviting areas.
