The IDRC/Gates Foundation story is also in the New York Times but they don't say Barbara McDougall's affiliation with BAT was discovered by Tobacco Control in Africa's blogger Philippe Boucher

The New York Times mentions "tobacco control activists" but fails to identify Tobacco Control in Africa and Philippe Boucher's role in finding out Barbara McDougall's affiliation with Imperial Tobacco Canada. Here is the link to the March 7 initial posting on this blog that was completed by a posting the same day on Globalink, the advocacy listserve of the International Union Against Cancer (access password protected). The information was also available in French.
