Developing a national tobacco control policy and comprehensive tobacco control legislation in Uganda

The aim of this project is to create a regulatory framework that will provide for coordinated tobacco control activities in Uganda. The project will develop a national tobacco control strategic plan and regulations, prepare the regulations for adoption by Parliament and prepare for the dissemination of the tobacco control policy, strategic plan and regulations. The project will collaborate with key partners such as the Centre for Tobacco Control in Africa, the Uganda National Tobacco Control Association, WHO, and other governmental and civil society stakeholders in achieving these objectives.
