Open House on November 8

The Community Forestry Commission will be hosting an Open House to discuss the proposed framework for the Community Forestry Management Plan.

The Open House will be held on November 8, 2004, from 6-8 PM in the Council Chambers at City Hall.

As part of the contract to develop a Community Forestry Management Plan, the Forestry Commission has contracted with the consultant to acquire new aerial imagery of the island and to develop an inventory of the trees and forests on the island.

A preview of this new land use tool will be available at the Open House on November 8.

Since the meeting usually lasts 2 hours and many people would not listen to the whole recording, one member of the group will participate in an interview with Voice of Bainbridge and present the main topics of the meeting.

This was the first interview of this kind.

Topics included noxious weeds, aerial photography of the island, preparation of the November 8 public meeting.
