November 11th, Veteran's Day, l'Armistice, the day when the first world war ended. My grandfather was in Paris that day and he remembered the joyful crowd in the streets. His dad Henri had died in 1915. I guess I should also have a thought for my other grandfather Marcel Boucher (admire his mustaches) who was then in the French Airforce. La Madelon was a very popular song.
