Why this blog?

Visiting the pandemic flu blog gave me the impetus to create a blog for COP2.

I thought it would be a good idea to have participants share their comments on line about what is happening so that the wider, global community can feel/be involved.

Until now the tobacco control community has not been using very much the web2.0 tools, including blogs. Maybe this conference can be an opportunity to introduce more people to blogging.
