Get Unhooked: the new campaign in the UK

The UK government is set to highlight the addictive nature of cigarettes in a new advertising campaign. Running for five weeks, the campaign will highlight how smokers get "hooked" on cigarettes through gripping images that show smokers being violently dragged by fishing hooks to their addiction.

A CAMPAIGN to scare teens off smoking by revealing they are dragging on chemicals used in toilet cleaner and nail polish remover is being launched during the school holidays. LISTEN

In what may be a first for the federal government, Health Canada has posted its new anti-smoking ad on You Tube.

Mexico Launches Anti-Smoking Campaign

The government teamed up with doctors, academics and a U.S.-based drug company Wednesday to announce a campaign to reduce the number of smokers in Mexico by more than 10 percent in three years.
