While America is focused on the devastation unfolding in the Gulf of Mexico, a sailing vessel called Ocean Watch is documenting what is happening with the oceans around The Americas by circumnavigating the continent on a mission.David Rockefeller Jr., the founder and chairman of Sailors for the Sea and one of the leaders of this educational expedition, will join us on The Green Front to share their mission to engage all seafarers in becoming better stewards of our imperiled oceans.
Ocean Watch stopped in the San Francisco Bay on its year long journey, on the same day President Obama was here to highlight the importance of solar and other renewable resources, on his way down to survey the damage in the Gulf.
