The UW French Fry Fuel Fools (UW biodiesel club) and The Breathable Bus Coalition will be showing on saturday Jan 15 at 7PM, Fat of the land a documentary movie that follows 5 women who travel across country in a diesel van powering it on biodiesel that they make from waste restaurant grease picked up along the way.
From New York to San Francisco the women careen across the nation stopping at greasy spoons, asking for leftover frying oil to fuel their wacky cross-country adventure. Other pit stops in this documentary include interviews with biofuel engineers, a quick overview of how-to-do-it fuel mixing and conversations with the American public about our petroleum "dependence." $5 for students and $8 for everyone else.
