When the Redwood Region chapter used to regularly show movies:
Remember those Audubon
Wildlife Films? If you do, you're probably an “old timer.”
The National Audubon Society arranged for expert and usually well known film producers (who had done the filming themselves) to tour various geographical areas of the nation with their films (movies). Local sponsoring organizations (usually Audubon Chapters) could sign up for a specified number of these programs each winter. For a fee, of course! The film was accompanied by the naturalist who produced it and he/she narrated the film as it was shown to the audience. So, it was a notable guest speaker and high quality film showing.
