Roland Hwang

Hwang Roland Hwang is a senior policy analyst in NRDC's energy program and works on transportation energy issues. Prior to joining NRDC, Roland was the director of the Transportation Program for the Union of Concerned Scientists in its Berkeley, California, office. He holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California at Davis, as well as a master's in public policy from the University of California at Berkeley.

CARA A. HOROWITZ

Caranrdc1 Cara is a project attorney in NRDC’s Los Angeles office. Her work focuses on the protection of marine mammals through international advocacy and enforcement of domestic laws, including the Marine Mammal Protection Act. Before joining NRDC, she clerked for the Honorable Dorothy W. Nelson on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and worked in private practice. She is a graduate of Yale College and the UCLA School of Law.

Jon Coifman

Jon has been running successful strategic communications campaigns on energy, environment and conservation issues at the local, national and international levels for 10 years, handling everything from policy and litigation to political campaign and major entertainment events.

David Hawkins

Hawkins_bw_2_1_1 David Hawkins is the director of NRDC's climate center. He joined NRDC as an attorney in 1971 and worked on air pollution issues until 1977 when he was appointed assistant administrator for Air, Noise, and Radiation at the Environmental Protection Agency in the Carter administration.
