Barb Tarbox, from Alberta, died of lung cancer when she was 41 years old, on May 18, 2003. She told her story in a series of very courageous and touching TV ads that I could no longer find but there is this powerful short documentary on YouTube. Where did the Alberta's Health Department store the TV ads?
Norway produced in 2003 a series of ads (in Norwegian and in English) that are collected on tobakkdreper.no as well as on Globalink. They are inciting smokers to quit by attacking the way the tobacco industry markets its products. The poster "Welcome to Norway" was published later :) when the bars and restaurants went smokefree.
