The Virginia Tobacco Settlement Foundation has produced many TV ads but most of them are only available on their website. Except for the famous dog who smokes (on YouTube).
This campaign about secondhand smoke and kids was produced as a Public Service Announcement by Crispin Porter and Bogulsky, the Florida's Agency that worked for the Legacy Foundation and the first Florida's antismoking campaigns until their funding was shot down by the Republican majority. Now that the Constitution has been amended to oblige the legislature to fund antismoking programs maybe they'll come back. WATCH
FACT is launching a statewide media campaign including cinema, TV and radio commercials. The ads were created by a small group of FACT members from all over the state. Before the commercials are aired they’ve posted them on YouTube.com here and here. Their goal is to get 2000 views of each ad.
Janet Sackman is a throat cancer survivor and a former model for Lucky Strike. In several TV ads she told how she was induced into smoking by a tobacco executive. Smokefree Arizona's Proposition 201 passed on November 7, 2006 while Prop 206 that was sponsored by the tobacco industry was defeated. Both aired ads (as seen on YouTube). WATCH Yes on 201 and Mona Lisa and look at how the industry uses a veteran to promote 206.
