3 spots have been produced in 2007 for the Swiss DOH. They congratulate (Bravo) organizations that have gone smokefree: a university, a hotel, a gymnastic club. The motto is "Less smoke, more life", the spots are in French, German and Italian.
A new campaign by The Cancer Council Western Australia’s Make Smoking
History
program will encourage parents to make their home and cars smoke free
to protect their children from the dangers of second hand smoke. The TV ads will run from May 27 to June 23. WATCH
This is an interesting personal story posted on YouTube. Unfortunately you can see it attracts a much smaller audience (300+ vs 30K+) than the advices about how to smoke :( The tobacco control community has to get better, much better at this youtube way of communicating about/against smoking.
Surfing on Google I find this campaign organized by Calgary when they become smokefree in early 2007. But the campaign is about helping youth quit. The 4 ads are on the smokefreecalgary.com site and on YouTube. Interesting as they are "just" testimonies, ie quite easy and cheap to produce.
This site hosts a series of spots produced for the Rauchfrei campaigns in Germany. The most recent one aired during the Soccer World Cup in 2006. WATCH
Secondhand smoke is an "invisible killer", according to the new
advertising campaign, launched by Public Health Minister Caroline Flint. The TV ad showing secondhand smoke during a wedding party ran from March 5 to April 8. WATCH (Globalink MMC) and on the GoSmokefree site.
In November 2006, Legacy and the Ad Council launched 2 new clips about secondhand smoke. They are available on the dont' pass gas site and and on You Tube. The problem I have with this presentation is that the smoker appears totally unconcerned about his own health and the other people don't seem either: taking it outside is considerate but I find the very light tone sort of makes it OK to smoke (as long as it is outside).
The new media campaign in Utah (that started in october 06) presents 4 clips of scenes from the past: in an airplane, a doctor's office, a typing room, a restaurant. Just click on the pictures on the left of the Smoke Free Utah page to see each clip or go to YouTube.
The scene in the doctor's office is quite amazing :)
Co-produced by TF1 and the CNCT the simple and poignant testimony (30 sec) of Michèle (63) who never smoked but has lung cancer because of her exposure to tobacco smoke. On YouTube.
