Teens' toxic shock blitz in Australia

TEENAGERS are the target of the new national tobacco youth campaign: new shock ads that show smokers inhaling chemicals such as those in paint stripper, toilet cleaner and nail polish remover. The hard-hitting ad will air from december 26, confronting young people with the deadly reality of nicotine addiction. WATCH

While the Smoke is Poison campaign has just started in the UK relying on interviews of professionals working with toxic chemicals (like the 2002 campaign in Massachusetts filmed by Michael Moore our friend Greg Conolly told us) another media campaign focusing on the toxic chemicals in the cigarette smoke was aired in France in 2002. Smoke is Poison

Cancer Research UK launched this campaign funded by the Department of Health to emphasize the presence of toxic chemicals in cigarette smoke. The ad about polonium was pulled out. This concept is a copycat of the 2001 getoutraged Massachusetts campaign. WATCH
