Microsoft has signed into the UN Global Compact, making a commitment to respect and implement the UN resolutions relative to human rights. It should include various decisions like the UN International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights whose article 7d affirms the right of everyone to " leisure and reasonable limitation of working hours and periodic holidays with pay, as well as remuneration for public holidays"and the Holidays with pay convention, whose article 3 fixes the minimal paid vacation at 3 weeks and article 6-1 states that "Public and customary holidays, whether or not they fall during the annual holiday, shall not be counted as part of the minimum annual holiday with pay prescribed in Article 3".
