From Minnesota: Are You OK With That?

In Minnesota the recent media campaigns produced by Clearway have focused on secondhandsmoke. You can see the 3 TV ads, including one with Heather Crowe (who died on May 22, 2006) on the areyouokwiththat.com site. They emphasized the untimely death of non-smokers exposed to environmental tobacco smoke: "involuntary smokers, involuntary deaths".

Lisa Cristia: A Victim of Second-Hand Smoke in Illinois

Lisa is an American Cancer Society volunteer and a cancer victim of second-hand smoke on her jobs in bars and restaurants. She tells her story in a clip you can watch on YouTube. It is part of the Smoke-Free Illinois campaign. The clip started airing on March 22.

Smokefree Utah: What Were We Thinking?

Michèle, Non-Smoker with Lung Cancer: It Could Have Been Avoided

Co-produced by TF1 and the CNCT (French National Committee for Tobacco Control) the simple and poignant testimony (30 sec) of Michèle (63 years old) who never smoked but has lung cancer because of her exposure to tobacco smoke. Now You Know: ETS in France

The French Government just passed a new decree prohibiting smoking in public places. This is the TV ad that has started airing (from November 16 to December 6, 2006). I found it on the Dailymotion site. Three days later is has also been posted on YouTube, on the official site of MILDT and on Globalink :)
There are 3 different spots: in a car, in a restaurant, in an office.

New Media Campaign in the UK about the upcoming Smoking Ban

In the UK, the Department of Health is launching a new media campaign to prepare the public to the smoking ban. Below are more details from the Observer.

Hong Kong Smoke-Free Indoor and Public Places

Two clips on YouTube celebrating the new smoke-free environments in Hong Kong: workplaces and restaurants and karaokes. They are produced by the Tobacco Control Office of the Hong Kong Health Department but it does not look they were "officially" posted on YouTube.

Bravo! Weniger Rauch, mehr Leben: in Switzerland

The Fall 2006 media campaign by the Swiss Federal Office for Health airs 3 TV Ads congratulating various places for becoming smokefree: the Swiss railroad, a restaurant, a sport club (in German, Italian and French versions).
