How Mauritius reacts (or not) to the BBC program about BAT in Africa

BAT's conduct in Africa (including Mauritius): on the BBC World and on line.

On July 1 the BBC broadcasted an expose of BAT conduct across Africa and Mauritius figures in this programme.

It was rebroadcast as "Exposed : Africa's Child Smokers" and aired again on BBC World on 19th and 20th July.

It was shown on the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation national TV Channel 3 on the 20th of July at 11 pm.

The documents show BAT orchestrating smuggling through third parties, and treating smuggling as if it is just another distribution channel - with pricing strategy, product launches  marketing plans. The documents show that BAT does not do the smuggling itself, but works through middlemen that do the actual smuggling.
