This excellent interview of David Suzuki (30 min) about his book Tree a life story was first aired on the public affairs program of KEXP hosted by Mike McCormick.
The sad but too frequent story is that this public affairs program is initially aired when very few people listen to radio (on saturday and sunday between 6 and 9 am).
It is then archived on the KEXP' site but only for two weeks.
Why only two weeks? I don't know.
My intention was/is to go attend one of their board
meetings to ask them why but it so happens they don't advertise when
their meetings are taking place and I have not done it yet.
Anyway, the good news is that the interviews hosted by Mike McCormick are now archived on www.hotpotatomedia.com for everybody to access whenever you want.
Thank you Mike and boo to KEXP for not providing exhaustive archiving of its public affairs programs.
David Suzuki also writes a regular column, Science matters.
PS: A very interesting letter Mike wrote when KCMU became KEXP (April 11, 2001)
