The King's West Girls are back for the 3rd year, joined by the King's West
Boys team, who make their first trip to state, with SeaTac League Coach of
the Year Rick Walker and three all-league team members Jesse Reeves, Adam
Shildmyer and Erik Bright. (sorry no pictures yet but we have the sounds, click continue reading and listen...)
Losing seven frontline players, the Warrior girls surprised everyone by making the tournament undefeated in league play. With a 19-7 record, they drew last year's runner-up, Almira/Coulee-Hartline (ACH), sporting a 24-2 record, five solid seniors and two collegiate prospects.
We talked with the players after their Third Place finish in the TriDistrict
championships.

The boys romped through league undefeated and claimed their first TriDistrict trophy on 19 straight wins. Entering at 22-3, we captured their first state tournament game against the Toutle Lake Ducks, with live 'play-by-play' by Tomas Smeeth of 'RBi Game of the Week'.
