Turn out your lights for the Earth
Saturday, March 29
Cities and individuals across the world will turn off their lights for
just one hour – Earth Hour – to show that we can make a difference in global warming.
The City of Bainbridge Island will participate, turning out all non-essential lighting.
Switching off your lights is a simple action that makes a difference
– and sends a powerful message that you care about the future of our planet.
From 8 – 9 pm:
· Turn off your lights
· Unplug your appliances and electronics
· Join astronomers at the Ritchie Observatory at Battle Point Park to celebrate our night skies
· Spread the word – visit www.earthhour.org to find out more!
Sponsored by the City of Bainbridge Island and the Battle Point
Astronomical Society. For more information, call the City at 842-2545, or
