Like most people, I’m uncomfortable having to say these three simple words: “I was wrong.”

But six years ago, while serving as the national vice president for tobacco control at the American Cancer Society, I found myself saying just that. I had led an intensive process of analysis featuring input from dozens of scientific experts that led me to realize I was incorrect about a core principle of my commitment to reducing the death and disease related to smoking.

Global Action to End Smoking (GA) replaces the Foundation for a Smokefree World

The official launch of the GA comes with the announcement of a grant awarded to the Urban Institute (the amount of the grant is not included). I could not find any info on this project on the site of the Urban Institute. An article by Nicholas Florko in STAT, published on the same day (May 13) describes how Cliff Douglas became the new President and CEO, what he hopes to achieve and what the obstacles are. 

What Marc Slis had to say when closing his vapeshop

Vaping demystified, (32 minutes, sorry put the cursor back to the beginning as I was unable to do it). The video has been produced by Yorkshire Cancer Research. It was posted on youtube on March 2021: 1 million views. You can also find more videos I recommend here.

Why I stop (at least for now) to publish THR-rendezvous in English

I have decided to stop publishing (at least for now) THR-rendezvous in English because I think it is strategically more important for me to devote time to what in happening in France. To be part of the debate in France, French is the language to use. Voilà. Thank you for your attention and à bientôt on Vaperendezvous. I'll eventually make exceptions to this new personal rule: c'est l'exception qui confirme la règle.

I post the link to this video posted on YouTube by vape-shop owner and expert Jai Haze where he explains so eloquently and strongly all the negative consequences of a vape ban in New Jersey without any health benefits but many bad consequences :(
